speedikon FM AG Strengthens Personal Customer Dialogue with Regional User Groups

Personal exchange with customers remains an important part of how speedikon FM AG builds long-term relationships. Through its regional User Groups, the company brings customers together to share experiences and discuss current topics in Corporate Real Estate Management, Energy management and Artificial Intelligence.

Over the course of two weeks, speedikon FM AG hosted three User Group meetings in Düsseldorf, Berlin and Bensheim. Participants from different industries came together to discuss current requirements, exchange ideas and learn about the latest developments in speedikon’s software solutions.

The confidential setting encouraged open conversations about everyday challenges in Facility Management (FM) and Corporate Real Estate Management (CREM), while giving participants the opportunity to raise questions directly with speedikon experts.

Data in Spatial and Temporal Context

One of the topics presented was speedikon VIP (Visual Intelligence Platform), which connects information from different sources and makes it accessible within a shared spatial and temporal context. The platform links existing specialist applications and combines data from BIM models, CAD drawings, point clouds, GIS data, photographs, documents and other sources. This allows users to view relevant information in relation to buildings, facilities and technical assets, including how their condition or associated data changes over time.

More Efficient Workflows with New Standard Modules

Another focus was the introduction of new standard modules for the CAFM platform speedikon® C. These preconfigured applications provide predefined workflows, user roles and reporting functions for common operational processes. They can be introduced with less configuration effort than individually developed solutions, while offering the flexibility to accommodate additional requirements.

The new Maintenance Management module brings together maintenance, inspections, site visits and defect management in a shared task list. Users can register technical assets, define recurring activities and generate the corresponding tasks automatically or manually. These can then be assigned to service providers, with progress and feedback tracked through to completion, including the resolution of defects reported through the Helpdesk. Integrated VDMA task catalogues, depending on the module configuration, provide additional support for technical maintenance processes.

By bringing these activities together, the module helps users keep track of upcoming tasks and follow their progress through to completion.

Fleet Management is another available standard module, supporting the administration and reservation of company vehicles. With the latest version of speedikon® C, vehicles can also be booked directly from mobile devices. Further developments are already underway, including a new standard module for Work Order Management.

New Ways to Visualise Data

The meetings also covered additional developments in speedikon® C, including the use of geometry in Cockpits. By combining graphical representations of buildings and spaces with relevant operational information, users can view and evaluate data in its spatial context.

How AI Can Support Maintenance Processes

Artificial intelligence (AI) was another important subject, particularly in connection with maintenance. Discussions focused on practical applications such as searching technical documentation, extracting information from inspection reports and equipment labels, and classifying fault reports and defects.

For example, AI-assisted document processing can help identify relevant information in an inspection report and support its assignment to the corresponding technical asset. This can reduce manual effort when reviewing documentation and preparing follow-up activities.

However, AI alone is not enough to ensure reliable results. The discussions also addressed the importance of structured, reliable data, as the effectiveness of such applications depends on the quality of the underlying information and its relationships to assets and processes.

Data Security and Digital Sovereignty

Alongside these functional developments, data security and digital sovereignty played an important role in the discussions. Increasing regulatory requirements and internal IT security policies are placing greater emphasis on how organisations store, manage and protect their operational information.

As Marcel Richter, Key Account Manager at speedikon FM AG, explains, having that choice is an important part of digital sovereignty:

“For many organisations, it is important to decide for themselves where their data is stored and how their IT infrastructure is managed. With the C-Platform, customers can choose between on-premises and private cloud deployment. This allows them to retain control over their data and security policies without becoming dependent on a single hyperscale cloud provider.”

The platform’s architecture also includes identity and access management, multi-tenant capabilities and regular security and penetration testing.

Personal Exchange Drives Further Development

The value of these meetings goes beyond presenting software features. They also give customers and the speedikon team an opportunity to learn from real-world experiences and better understand the challenges organisations face.

“For me, personal interaction with our customers is an important part of my work. Events like our User Groups are particularly valuable because they bring together customers from a wide range of industries. At the end of the day, they are all in the same boat, facing similar challenges. It is precisely this sense of not being alone, of knowing that others are dealing with the same issues, that gives participants renewed confidence and encouragement to take away from the event,” says Emanuele Simbola, Key Account Manager at speedikon FM AG.

For speedikon FM AG, the regional User Groups remain an important part of maintaining long-term customer relationships. The insights gained from these discussions also help shape future software developments, ensuring that customer feedback continues to play a role in how the company’s solutions evolve.
