Following a successful premiere last year, Swiss FM Day returned for its second edition on September 17, this time at the Papiersaal in Zurich. The sold-out event brought together Facility Management professionals from across Switzerland as well as international guests from the IFMA network for a day of presentations, panel discussions and personal exchange.
“The Human-Centric Workplace” set the direction for the day. The programme explored how Facility Management is evolving and what this means for the workplaces of tomorrow. New workplace concepts, changing user expectations and the growing role of data and technology all featured in the presentations and panels. One particularly interesting aspect was the question of how FM is developing beyond its traditional operational role and contributing more actively to the environments in which people work.
Time for In-Depth Conversations
One of the strengths of this year’s Swiss FM Day was its focused setting. The number of participants created plenty of opportunities to move beyond brief introductions and discuss individual topics and challenges in greater depth.
We experienced this directly at the speedikon Group stand. Visitors showed strong interest in the latest developments across the Group’s extensive solution portfolio, providing a good starting point for discussions about their own use cases and priorities.
Group’s mascot Charly was also part of the action. He joined many conversations and made his way around the exhibition to visit other booths, contributing to the open and welcoming atmosphere. At the same time, he was a small reminder of something that also matters in our solutions: visualisation helps make information easier to understand and engage with.
Swiss FM Day once again showed the value of bringing different perspectives from the FM community together in one place. We returned from Zurich with new impressions, interesting conversations and plenty of topics to follow up on.
