speedikon FM Supports Exhibition by Harm Gerdes at the Kunsthalle Darmstadt

speedikon FM supports the exhibition of Darmstadt-based artist Harm Gerdes at the Kunsthalle Darmstadt. With this initiative, the software company emphasizes its ambition to foster creative talent from the region and to actively contribute to cultural development.

The exhibition, open to the public until 15 March, focuses on an artistic practice shaped by the city of Darmstadt and its visual traditions, while remaining open to international influences.

Harm Gerdes and His Artistic Background

Born and raised in Darmstadt, Harm Gerdes is regarded as one of the distinctive contemporary artists working in abstract painting. His artistic identity is closely tied to the city, particularly to the Mathildenhöhe. Its characteristic forms, patterns, and ornamental structures repeatedly appear in his work as points of reference.

Although Gerdes now exhibits internationally and runs his studio in Athens, Darmstadt remains a central point of reference in his artistic practice. His work combines local influences with a contemporary visual language shaped by international experience.

Commitment to Art and Culture

As a software company with strong regional roots, speedikon FM sees it as its responsibility to support both emerging and established artists from the region. By sponsoring the exhibition, the company emphasizes its ambition to foster creative talent locally and to actively contribute to cultural development.

“Harm Gerdes combines Darmstadt’s artistic heritage with a contemporary, international visual language,” says Adrian Merkel, CEO of speedikon FM. “This blend of origin, innovation and clarity strongly resonates with us and reflects our own approach to sustainable development and future readiness.”

The exhibition at the Kunsthalle Darmstadt is open to the public until 15 March and offers an opportunity to engage with contemporary abstract painting that remains closely connected to its place of origin.

Engagement Beyond Core Business

With its support of the exhibition, speedikon FM is deliberately demonstrating its commitment to social responsibility beyond its core business. Art and culture play an important role in engaging with change, complexity, and new perspectives.

These themes are also central to speedikon FM’s work in the digital and technological environment, where structured thinking, innovation, and long-term orientation are essential.
