speedikon FM AG Supports the 21st Lorscher Triathlon

Sport, team spirit, and plenty of motivation brought people together in Lorsch on August 16 for the 21st Lorscher Triathlon. speedikon FM AG was part of this year’s edition both as a sponsor and as a participant, with members of the team joining the competition.

A sporting tradition on the Bergstraße

The Lorscher Triathlon has been part of the local sporting calendar since 2004 and has long since become an established tradition on the Bergstraße. Organized by DLRG Ortsgruppe Lorsch e.V., this year’s edition welcomed 392 individual competitors and 51 relay teams.

The competition began at the Waldschwimmbad Lorsch, where participants completed the swimming discipline before heading onto the 20-kilometer cycling course. The final 5-kilometer run led to the finish at the neighboring Birkengarten recreation area.

Open to triathlon beginners, hobby athletes, and more experienced competitors alike, the event offered participants the opportunity to take on all three disciplines individually or compete as part of a three-person relay team.

For speedikon FM AG, supporting the Lorscher Triathlon is also a commitment to the region in which the company has been based for many years.

For the speedikon FM team, the day was about more than reaching the finish line. Being involved both on and off the course gave us the opportunity to experience the competition from a very different perspective.

“The enthusiasm and commitment of everyone involved made the day particularly special,” says Adrian Merkel, CEO of speedikon FM AG. “We were delighted not only to support the Lorscher Triathlon this year, but also to be part of the competition.”

Encouragement from spectators, support between participants, and familiar faces at the finish all contributed to an atmosphere that made the day truly memorable.

Behind the Scenes

A successful triathlon involves much more than what happens on the course. Behind the scenes, numerous volunteers contribute their time and energy to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout the day.

Their commitment is an essential part of making an event of this scale possible. A big thank you therefore goes to DLRG Ortsgruppe Lorsch e.V., the volunteers, and everyone involved in making this year’s edition a success.

And, of course, congratulations to all individual competitors and relay teams who completed the course. Whether it was their first triathlon or one of many, reaching the finish line is an achievement worth celebrating.
