Digital Twins in Practice: Framence Partnerships

Framence, the developer of the photorealistic digital twin platform FRAMENCE, is continuing to grow its international partner network, most recently through collaborations with Petrokens Engineering and Services Pvt Ltd., an engineering consultancy based in India, and KahraGen Engineering, a UAE-based specialist in energy infrastructure. These partnerships reflect the growing demand for digital twin applications in complex industrial and asset-intensive environments.

With more than 30 partners across over 20 countries, FRAMENCE is being used in a wide range of sectors, including industrial environments, infrastructure projects, engineering services, and beyond.

What connects these industries are not just technical requirements, but shared challenges: coordinating across locations, maintaining consistent project information over long lifecycles, managing increasing volumes of technical data, and reducing delays caused by missing or outdated information. In many cases, even routine decisions still depend on physical site access.

Bringing structure to engineering data

The most recent addition to the network is Petrokens, an engineering and digital transformation consultancy based in Chennai, India, supporting clients across oil and gas, offshore, and industrial infrastructure projects.

By integrating FRAMENCE into its portfolio, Petrokens extends its services beyond delivering engineering outputs, enabling clients to work directly within a photorealistic digital representation of their facilities.

In practice, this works much like a navigable, street-view-like environment for industrial assets, where users can move through a facility and access relevant documentation, system data, and asset information directly in context.

This is particularly valuable in projects where multiple engineering disciplines and data sources need to be aligned. Instead of handing over information across separate systems, Petrokens can provide a structured environment where data remains connected and usable throughout the project lifecycle.

For clients, this improves how information is maintained, shared, and applied across teams, especially in multidisciplinary environments where coordination is critical.

“Digitalization in engineering is not just about collecting data, but about making it usable,” says Murali Govindaraj, CEO of Petrokens. “With FRAMENCE, we can connect information directly to the asset and make it easier for our clients to work with it in their daily operations.”

Coordinating large energy projects

KahraGen Engineering, a UAE-based company with more than three decades of experience in power generation, transmission, smart grids, and EPC projects across the MENA region, has integrated FRAMENCE into its portfolio as part of its approach to delivering energy infrastructure projects.

KahraGen works closely with operators, contractors, and project stakeholders across the full lifecycle of energy infrastructure, from planning and engineering to execution and long-term operation. With the integration of FRAMENCE, digital twins become part of how these projects are delivered, rather than an additional layer on top.

In practice, KahraGen can provide clients with a continuously updated visual reference of their assets, supporting coordination between engineering disciplines, improving documentation during project execution, and enabling a more structured transition into operations.

Digital twins are also used to support remote inspections and quality assurance processes. Instead of relying on frequent site visits, installations can be reviewed digitally, allowing issues to be identified earlier and coordination steps to be prepared in advance. In large-scale energy projects, this reduces travel effort, shortens coordination loops, and helps avoid delays caused by missing or unclear information.

“Digital twins play an increasingly important role in managing complex energy infrastructure,” says Isam Aldroubi, Operations Director of KahraGen Engineering. “By partnering with Framence, we can provide our clients with clearer visibility into their assets and support more informed decisions across engineering, construction, and operations.”

A Network That Keeps Growing

The continued growth of the partner network reflects not only the increasing relevance of digital twins, but also the variety of contexts in which they are already delivering measurable value.

They are being applied in different industries and regions, adapted to local requirements, and integrated into real project workflows.
