What does it feel like to help create a photorealistic digital twin yourself?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

That\u2019s exactly what we were able to explore in a very hands-on way during this year\u2019s Girls\u2019 Day\u2014together with a colleague\u2019s daughter, who spent a day immersed in our world of photorealistic digital twins.<\/p>\n

And one thing upfront: initial curiosity quickly turned into genuine excitement.<\/p>\n

From the very beginning, it was clear what Afia Nyarko (14) was most looking forward to: \u201cI really liked it. What I enjoyed the most was taking the pictures.\u201d And that was exactly the point\u2014getting involved, not just seeing technology, but actually trying it out.<\/p>\n

From the first photo to flying a drone<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A central part of her day was capturing images for a digital twin herself\u2014using a camera, 360\u00b0 technology, and even a drone.<\/p>\n

What might sound complicated at first quickly proved to be accessible. Flying the drone, in particular, stood out: \u201cWhat I liked best was flying the drone.\u201d And this is exactly why days like this matter. Technology often feels abstract and complex\u2014until you experience it firsthand.<\/p>\n

Technology isn\u2019t as complicated as you think<\/strong><\/h2>\n

One of the most exciting takeaways of the day was how Afia\u2019s perspective on technology changed. Before Girls\u2019 Day, there was the usual uncertainty. Afterwards, it sounded very different:<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople often think it\u2019s difficult, but that\u2019s not true at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

This is something we see often with first encounters in tech. What seems complicated from the outside suddenly becomes tangible\u2014and, most importantly, doable\u2014once you try it yourself.<\/p>\n

She also learned very concrete new skills that day: \u201cBefore, I didn\u2019t know how to fly a drone or take pictures with a 360\u00b0 camera.\u201d Things that were completely unfamiliar in the morning became second nature within just a few hours.<\/p>\n

A digital twin that inspires<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The highlight came at the end: the finished digital twin.<\/p>\n

Her reaction? Short, but clear: \u201cWow!\u201d<\/p>\n

What impressed her most was the sense of immersion: \u201cIt felt like I was actually there.\u201d That\u2019s exactly what we aim for at Framence\u2014digital twins that don\u2019t feel like models, but like real places.<\/p>\n

And of course, the ultimate real-world test couldn\u2019t be missing: school. \u201cYes, I\u2019m excited to show the digital twin to my classmates\u2014I know many of them would love it,\u201d says Afia.<\/p>\n

Maybe even a glimpse into the future?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Can a day like this influence career choices? At least the direction is becoming clearer: \u201cI can imagine working in IT or a technical profession in the future.\u201d For us, that\u2019s exactly what Girls\u2019 Day is about: opening up perspectives\u2014without pressure, simply through experience.<\/p>\n

A message to other girls<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At the end of the day, Afia had one more piece of advice for girls who might still be unsure:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re often discouraged because you think everything is difficult and you won\u2019t understand it. You should let go of that thought and realize that you can learn anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to put it better than that.<\/p>\n

Girls\u2019 Day shows us every year: sometimes, all it takes is one day to turn uncertainty into curiosity\u2014and curiosity into real enthusiasm.<\/p>\n
